We are seeking a Product Development Manager to lead the development and implementation of new products, including the transfer of products from one supplier to another, and the improvement of existing products based on product documentation, quality performances, and customer expectations.
This role involves ensuring that suppliers meet requirements and tolerances, securing quality and compliance to all requirements. You will be working with strategic suppliers producing equipment for our Retail partners across various raw materials. Your location will be in IKEA Components office, Älmhult, Sweden.
Key Responsibilities- Lead product development initiatives from a Category perspective, ensuring scalability for further implementation at other suppliers.
- Communicate changes and progress to relevant parties.
- Conduct risk assessments for products and production.
- Evaluate and improve supplier development capabilities.
- Maintain clear product documentation with Critical-To-Quality (CTQ) specifications.
- Approve product and packaging tests before progressing to the next phase.
- Support Production Engineers during start-up.
- Coordinate project status updates effectively.
You will also ensure that products and suppliers comply with quality and safety standards. Additionally, you will participate in developing specifications, including ISO MAT requirements.
