Gelato Technology
Our asset is a cloud-based connectivity platform enabling on-demand production for e-commerce platforms and applications. We provide access to over 130 production partners across 32 countries, including production plate design, routing, and logistics integration. All this happens in 72 hours, connecting us with over 5 billion potential consumers in a smarter, faster, and greener way.
Our technology stack includes backends using PHP and GoLang, mobile apps built natively or with hybrid tech, running on cloud services, and a modern CI/CD pipeline. We're passionate about designing highly-available, fault-tolerant, cost-effective, and scalable systems using principles like TDD, BDD, DDD, and agile methodology.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Utilize the latest technologies to solve real-world problems at scale, ensuring high availability, low latency, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams as a valuable member, sharing knowledge and building creative solutions while helping the team evolve best practices.
- Design, develop, and deploy backend services focusing on high availability, low latency, and scalability, taking end-to-end responsibility for the services your team owns.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, being programming language agnostic.
- A minimum of a B.S. degree in Information Technology or Computer Sciences.
- Adaptability, change readiness, and a growth mentality.
- Passion for engineering practices like agile, continuous delivery, test-driven development, traceability, and observability.
- Strong communication skills, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Solid experience in designing, developing, and maintaining API-driven solutions.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, PHP (Symfony), Microservices architecture, PostgreSQL, Elastic search, RabbitMQ, Memcache, Redis, ELK, Jaeger, Prometheus & Grafana.
