Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet seeks a talented researcher to join our team as a Genomic Research Specialist. As a member of our department of Bioinformatics and Genetics, you will play a key role in advancing our understanding of the avifauna on New Guinea's largest tropical island.

About the Project

This two-year research position focuses on reconstructing the demographic histories of the avifauna using a unique genomic dataset. Your expertise in bioinformatics and genetics will be crucial in analyzing the data and testing hypotheses on climate change impacts.

Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in a relevant field
  • Exceptional knowledge of avifauna on New Guinean
  • Good knowledge of processes shaping biodiversity in the Indo-Pacific
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
