Project Controller for High-Voltage Direct Current Transmission

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Controller to join our team in the High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial performance and compliance of assigned projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project controlling, with experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that all financial aspects of the project are properly managed and reported.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Joint responsibility with the Project Manager in all financial and commercial matters.
  • Driving operational and financial performance of assigned projects, including revenue optimization and cash flow management.
  • Supporting the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing monthly project reviews, including cost-to-complete calculations, revenues, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Participating in opportunity/risk identification and monitoring required actions.
  • Managing invoicing, currency risks, and hedging, as well as tax matters with support from relevant departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in finance or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in project controlling, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to consolidate large amounts of data and present findings to management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is required.
