Financial Project Manager

We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Project Manager to join our team in Stockholm, Sweden.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing financial aspects of projects and will be able to analyze financial data to provide transparency on the project's financial situation.

You will work closely with project managers, core project teams, and central finance teams to provide critical financial analysis for strategic decision-making.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the monthly closing process for the project and ensure that project reporting is in line with accounting rules.
  2. Control project cost, analyze variances and recommend possible courses of action to remedy.
  3. Contribute to risk and opportunity management by challenging project inputs and recommending possible courses of action to mitigate risk or to achieve opportunities.
  4. Lead the Budget and Forecast processes on project level and update project planning in the financial systems accordingly.
  5. Ensure that project calculations reflect the current status of the project and lead the re-assessment of the project cost assumptions.
  6. Together with the PM and PCT, prepare reporting for project reviews including relevant financial analyses.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  2. Experience or understanding of project management and financial control in a complex, project-driven environment.
  3. Knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  4. Familiarity with accounting principles and long-term contract accounting rules.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  6. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  7. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
