EHS Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team at Xylem Water Solutions Global Services AB. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our work environment meets the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

1. Safety Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to management and employees on all aspects of workplace safety, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control.
2. EHS Strategy Implementation: Support the development and implementation of EHS strategies and goals, aligned with corporate demands and segment requirements.
3. Chemical Management: Serve as the Chemical Manager, responsible for revising existing chemicals, proposing structure and routines for creating synergies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Integrated Management System (IMS) Development: Contribute to the development, establishment, and strengthening of the Swedish IMS, ensuring alignment with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
5. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate incidents reported in the EHS IT Reporting Tool, create reports, implement corrective actions, document lessons learned, and close cases as required.
6. Country Annual Inspection Program: Execute the Country Annual Inspection Program, ensuring timely closure of actions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
7. Audits and Compliance: Support internal and external audits for ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, follow up on non-conformities, observations, and areas for improvement, and ensure EHS-related non-conformities are addressed promptly.
8. Risk Assessment and Operating Instructions: Support the annual review of all risk assessments and operating instructions, ensuring they remain relevant and effective.
9. EHS Training and Coaching: Operate as an EHS role model, provide safety training, coaching, and guidance to non-EHS colleagues.

• Experience: A few years of experience in a related field, preferably with a background in mechanical, electrical/electronic, or technician roles.
• Investigation Techniques: Understanding of 5 WHY's and Fishbone incident investigation techniques.
• EHS IT Reporting Tool: Experience using the EHS IT Reporting Tool.
• ISO Certifications: Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards.
• Technical Background: Technical background in fields such as mechanical, electrical/electronic, or technician.
• Teaching and Training: Experience in teaching and training others.
• Accident/Incident Lead Investigator: Possession of an Accident/Incident Lead Investigator certificate is beneficial.
• Language Skills: Fluent English skills, both spoken and written.
