Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor Sweden

The Mechanical Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation and commissioning of wind turbines in the Nordic region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating on-site activities, providing mechanical expertise, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Quality Manager in addressing technical non-conformities and ensuring compliance with 'Management of Change' requirements.
  • Collaborate with Site Managers to conduct quality and incoming goods inspections.
  • Assist in pre-erection anchor cage and foundation checks, working closely with the Civil Project Engineer.
  • Support the Site Managers and Quality Manager in reviewing and releasing Pre-erection documentation, Statutory Inspections, and reports.
  • Manage non-conformity reports and incidents using UPVISE/Service Now or the prevailing software management tool.
  • Maintain close contact with the Quality Manager for ordering and tracking missing parts and Requisition Notes (RNs).
  • Resolve quality deviations to ensure a smooth handover to the customer and a smooth operation over the wind turbine's lifetime.
  • Provide ad-hoc training to the site team and subcontractors.
  • Lead the definition of FGR locations, installation, and operation before Bottom section installation, where applicable.
  • Lead the Scruton Coil installation and operation when installing on the top section, where applicable.
Requirements:
  • Completed vocational training in Mechanics/Mechatronics or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in Health and Safety procedures/methods, including electrical safety, fall protection awareness, and basic understanding of hazardous materials.
  • Familiarity with several technologies, such as Mechanical & rotating systems, basic understanding of hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with general procedures, including Mechanical installation and finishing, testing of mechanical installations, and quality management.
  • Familiarity with tools, such as Mechanical measuring tools (e.g., digital calliper), Hydraulic torquing/tensioning tools (e.g., HyTorc, ITH).
  • Proficient computer skills using MS Office basic programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written), with an advantage if you know one of the Nordic languages (Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian).
  • A good physical condition is a requirement for the job, and you will need to pass a health check prior to starting with us.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and engineers.
  • Able to work in or lead a team.
  • Systematic problem-solving and safety-oriented behavior.
  • Strong personal planning & organization skills.
  • The position has a high travel requirement, domestically and/or internationally.
  • Capability to comprehend and adapt to rapidly changing technologies.
Experience:
  • 2 years of experience in working with construction projects, with experience with wind turbines seen as an advantage.
  • Experienced in working with crane operations (rigging and lifting).
  • Native level Finnish or Swedish speaker, fluent in English.
  • Excellent knowledge of local regulations and legal requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and self-organized.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS office, SAP preferable).
  • Willingness to travel and stay on the construction site for longer periods of time.
