Physiotherapy Specialist

Tucson Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in Southern Arizona, seeks a skilled physiotherapist to join its team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in evaluating patient records and reporting on progress, as well as assessing and treating patients in acute care hospitals or outpatient clinics.

This role involves:

• Evaluating patients to determine impairment extent and prognosis for improvement.
• Creating individual treatment plans based on test results and other pertinent information.
• Gathering data from various sources and developing specific goals and plans, revising them as necessary.
• Considering patient variables such as overall medical condition, stamina, motivation, etc., when planning treatment programs.
• Selecting, fitting, and training patients in the use of assistive devices, adaptive equipment, or orthotics.
• Preparing electronic documentation required by the profession and department, including evaluation results, treatment plans, progress reports, and other relevant reports.

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• One to two years of acute inpatient therapy experience required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification required.
• Expertise in physical therapy to optimize movement, improve patient experience, and prevent disability following disease or injury.
• Knowledge of best practices to ensure optimal patient care.
• Skill in assessing needs and limitations to better assist patients.
