Job Description

The Senior SEO Manager will be key in understanding client strategy and executing campaign tasks, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality project outcomes. This role requires frequent client contact via email, telephone, or face-to-face meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Client Brand Immersion: Develop a deep understanding of client brands to identify the role of SEO in achieving goals and meeting KPIs.
  2. Team Guidance: Lead the team in comprehensively understanding and interrogating client briefs to improve final output.
  3. Campaign Meetings: Attend key campaign meetings (internal & client-facing) and position yourself as a team authority, asking relevant questions, providing concise answers, and setting a good example for junior team members.
  4. SEO Strategy Development: Create sophisticated SEO strategies that accurately address client objectives.
  5. Audit and Research Utilization: Effectively utilize audits, research, and landscape investigations to deliver insight-driven strategies.
  6. Client Team Collaboration: Work alongside client teams' SEO Managers/Executives or Analysts to establish yourselves as primary authorities for SEO activities across client campaigns.
  7. Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal SEO Managers, Content Managers, and Account Managers to ensure smooth implementation of client work.
  8. Digital Strategy Development: Work closely with Client Services and Project Management teams to develop integrated digital strategies for clients.
  9. Team Support: Identify team members struggling with tasks and provide support or find an appropriate staff member to do so.
  10. Campaign Performance Analysis: Analyze campaign performance, identify strategic opportunities, and facilitate changes to hit and exceed client expectations and KPIs.
  11. SEO Training: Provide SEO training to internal teams and clients.
  12. Data Analysis: Create queries, dashboards, and pull data from Searchmetrics for clients, the SEO Team, and wider staff.
  13. Partner Engagement: Engage with Searchmetrics and other partners to ensure effective working relationships, access to insights, and beta growth.
  14. Client-Facing Reports: Produce client-facing reports, studies, and presentations to Jellyfish brand standards.
  15. Relationship Nurturing: Develop and maintain relationships with clients for day-to-day SEO campaign requirements.
  16. Team Objectives: Support the SEO Team in delivering their objectives and promoting continuous development of digital and marketing expertise.
  17. Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and applicable technologies.
  18. Process Improvement: Proactively assess Jellyfish practices and methods for continuous improvement.
  19. Marketplace Understanding: Maintain an in-depth understanding of Jellyfish's marketplace, focusing on new and emerging initiatives.
