The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our Propulsion System Controls Team in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical Function Verification: Conduct thorough verification of complete vehicle electrical functions to ensure compliance with design specifications and performance standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot issues within vehicle systems, providing recommendations for solutions or alternative approaches to resolve issues effectively.
  • Participation in Testing Activities: Actively participate in various testing activities, including vehicle builds, on-road expeditions, and box car testing, to support development and validation processes.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate coordination between different teams and departments to ensure seamless integration and alignment of efforts towards project goals.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of plans, reports, test results, and knowledge sharing to support ongoing learning and development within the team.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other tasks assigned by the team leader or project manager to support overall team objectives.

  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, particularly under pressure, with a proactive and supportive attitude.
  • Passion for Automotive Technology: Strong enthusiasm for automobiles and technology, especially in electrical/electronics and software. Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Analytical and Hands-On Skills: Strong analytical skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, capable of performing detailed analyses and implementing practical solutions.
  • Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel frequently or stay at manufacturing sites as required to support testing and development activities.

Experience Required

  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a solid understanding of automotive electrical/electronic systems, distributed systems, network technologies (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet), and software download procedures.
  • Technical Skills
    • Hands-on experience with diagnostic/test tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, or similar.
    • Experience with INCA and DSA is highly desirable.
    • Experience with test development and automation e.g. HIL not mandatory but desirable
  • Driving License: A valid driving license is required for this position.
