At ULTEUM, we are seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller to join our team on a long-term consultancy contract.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to work closely with our Construction Manager and be a key member of our Cost Controlling team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and supervising the quantity surveying team to ensure accurate cost assessments.
- Assessing cost impacts of change requests in collaboration with the Contract Manager, utilizing advanced Excel skills and strong negotiation skills for contractor discussions.
- Ensuring a strong understanding and control of contractually defined cost terms, reviewing or preparing cost forecasts related to contractors' scope.
- Examining Bills of Quantities (BoQs) to identify potential errors or discrepancies, performing other standard cost control tasks as required.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and Power Query, along with strong command of MS Office and basic knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Strong negotiation and reconciliation skills for contractor discussions, ensuring effective communication and resolution of cost-related issues.
