Job Description

This PhD position focuses on developing novel medical sensor technology to quantitatively measure disease biomarkers. The project involves designing epidermal bioelectronic devices measuring key physicochemical and biological biomarkers of the skin using in vivo, ex vivo human and animal models. The ultimate goal is to provide important new knowledge for skin diagnostics and care.

The successful candidate will gain broad knowledge on how to design and fabricate medical sensors, navigate physicochemical and structural changes in human skin before, during, and after diseases, and develop an epidermal sensor and diagnostic tools to monitor skin for precise skincare and therapeutic applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must hold a Master's degree (or equivalent) in natural or engineering sciences. Previous experience in biosensors, electrochemistry, and polymer chemistry is not required but is considered a valuable asset. Fluency in English is also a requirement.

The ideal candidate should possess a high degree of independence, motivation, and a collaborative approach to research, ensuring seamless teamwork within the laboratory environment.
