Maritime Policy Analyst

Are you passionate about sustainable energy transitions and maritime policy? Do you want to contribute to shaping the future of energy systems? Chalmers Tekniska Högskola AB invites applications for a doctoral position in the Ports as Energy Transition Hubs Doctoral Network.

As a key member of our team, you will engage in pioneering research on maritime policy analysis, e-fuel supply chain dynamics, and energy resilience. Your research will focus on examining the FuelEU Maritime policy's alignment with other policy instruments and regional circumstances. You will also investigate e-fuel supply chain infrastructure dynamics and ensure energy resilience during maritime transport system transitions.

Our division carries out research and education on potential solutions to major environmental challenges. We focus on research in technical and socio-economic systems addressing challenges involved in transitioning into a sustainable and low-carbon society. Our ambition is to build challenge-driven scientific excellence by crossing traditional boundaries and increasing multi-disciplinarity in research.

The successful candidate will be seconded to the Technical University of Denmark and DNV (Norway), gaining valuable international experience. This project aims to deliver nuanced policy analysis reports, detailed supply chain analyses with infrastructure recommendations, and resilience performance indicators.
