About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Art Director to join our team at Snowprint Studios AB.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the artistic direction of our games, ensuring a cohesive and inspiring visual style.

You will work closely with artists, designers, and developers to bring our creative vision to life while balancing aesthetics with gameplay.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a talented team, mentor and develop artists, and contribute to all aspects of game development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the artistic direction of our games.
  • Work closely with artists, designers, and developers to bring our creative vision to life.
  • Mentor and develop a talented team of artists.
  • Contribute to all aspects of game development, from gameplay and tech to marketing.
Requirements
  • Many years of experience in game development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing expertise in art direction, visual storytelling, and game aesthetics.
  • Fluent in tools like Maya and Adobe Photoshop (or equivalent 3D and 2D programs).
  • Experience in taking a game from napkin drawings to launch in an Art Director or Lead Artist role.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to guide and inspire the team.
  • The ability to take ownership, make informed creative decisions, and drive projects forward.
