About This Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Network and Security Strategist to join our team at TN Sweden. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic network systems and IT architecture.

In this role, you will create strategic blueprints, roadmaps, and standards for Networking Technology to support Inter IKEA Groups' strategic plans. You will work closely with other key areas of the organisation to define new requirements and drive innovative network and cybersecurity solutions.

Your Key Accountabilities:

  • You will design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive network architecture strategy aligned with the organisation's goals.
  • Guide the network delivery and operations teams in adopting best practices, ensuring compliance with architectural and network security standards.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable network systems, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud-based solutions.
  • You will keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends in networking and cybersecurity, providing recommendations for integrating new technologies and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits of network architecture and security, proposing enhancements and optimizations to ensure network efficiency, security, and resilience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders within Inter IKEA and the broader IKEA System to ensure seamless integration of network and security solutions.
  • Develop and deliver forward-looking IT strategic roadmaps focused on advanced technologies such as Zero Trust architectures, SD-WAN, and wireless networking.
  • Evaluate investment, divestment, retirement, and consolidation strategies for global systems, incorporating industry best practices and benchmarks.
  • Provide architectural consulting to solution architects during the design, build/test, and deployment phases of business and technical projects globally.
  • Offer analysis and recommendations on enterprise network performance and security, leveraging benchmarks and industry insights.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing complex network and security solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS), security principles (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, Zero Trust), and emerging technologies (e.g., SDN, NFV).
  • Proficiency with network design and security tools and technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and wireless access points.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity practices, including risk assessment, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound recommendations based on thorough analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, CISM, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Understanding of technology directions, trends, and their strategic impacts on the retail industry.
  • Experience in leading connectivity and network security systems implementations to successful completion.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment.
