Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Payments) to join one of our product teams to focus on Payments. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a seamless payment experience for our users and will be a key player in the team focusing on payments. Together with the team, you will drive the payment experience, shaping and managing our payment services from design, to implementation, deployment, and maintenance, as we continue to scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be part of a revenue-generating organization, drive online sales, and build an intuitive user experience to drive traffic and foster customer loyalty and retention.
  • Ship top-quality, performant, accessible, and inclusive user interfaces, functionality, and products.
  • Work in an agile team together with other software engineers, product managers, designers, and testers.
  • Work in close collaboration with stakeholders across the organization to deliver top-quality user interfaces and features.
  • Work hands-on with data insights and analytics, and always take a data-driven approach.
  • Ensure continuous delivery of new releases while working in an agile way.
  • Maintain a healthy codebase.
Our Technology Stack
  • TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js running on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Ionic, Angular, Capacitor, React, and Gatsby on the Frontend.
  • Python and Kotlin for Data Science.
  • Highly automated CI pipelines (GitHub Actions).
  • Multiple backend production deployments per day with less than 2% rollbacks (measured since 2019).
  • App Store/Google Play releases on a monthly basis.
  • Backend unit test coverage above 70% since 2019.
  • We Open Source, encourage Open Source contributions, and often open our general-purpose repositories.
Requirements
  • Experience in Backend and Frontend development alike.
  • Experience with modern TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js in production.
  • Experience working with 3rd party integrations and payment systems.
  • Creative and pragmatic approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the 'big picture' view.
  • Great communication skills and ability to explain complex, technical solutions to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working with subscriptions.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers.
