Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified music teacher for grades 4-9 to join our team at IES Bromma, covering parental leave from April 2025 to February 2026. As a music teacher, you will be responsible for developing a music program that inspires students, focusing on vocal instruction, choir leadership, and teaching piano and guitar. You will also showcase student music performances within the school.

A successful candidate will possess a calm learning environment, differentiate teaching to meet individual student needs, and provide continuous formative feedback for steady student development. Flexibility, teamwork, and a passion for teaching and relationship-building are essential qualities for this role.

As a mentor, you will support 16 students in realizing their full potential, regardless of their background. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities when selecting candidates.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Documented experience in vocal instruction and choir leadership is necessary. Proficiency in teaching piano and guitar is required, along with the ability to develop individual student singing and song performances. A leader in the classroom, you must create a calm learning environment and differentiate your teaching to meet the needs of all students.

Continuous formative feedback is a natural part of your teaching approach. You should be flexible and a dedicated team player, with a passion for teaching your subject and creating relationships with colleagues and students alike.
