About Mindler

Mindler is a pioneering tech company founded in 2018 by two psychologists and a doctor with a shared vision of revolutionizing mental healthcare. Our dedicated tech teams have developed an app and health care platform, transforming the industry.

We operate three product development teams: Growth, Treatment, and Operational Efficiency. Each team works full-stack across our applications, including the patient app, psychologist web platform, and back office systems.

About the Role

As a Software Engineering Lead at Mindler, you'll play a key role at the intersection of people and technology. You'll lead a team of engineers, collaborating closely with the Product Manager to drive innovation and execution. Reporting directly to our VP of Engineering, you'll form part of a strategic tech leadership team. You'll take on budget responsibilities for systems and services, team activities, and individuals, as well as partnering with the talent team to shape your team and retain top talents.

Here's some of the things you'll do:

  • Team Leadership – Lead and support a team of engineers, including hiring, personal development, and well-being.

  • Budget Responsibility - Estimate, track, and report costs related to systems, services, individuals, and teams.

  • Product Team Collaboration – Participate in standups, planning, workshops, retrospectives, and process improvements.

  • Remove Blockers – Streamline communication, refine requirements, and resolve team dependencies.

  • Finetune Processes & Work Methods - Develop procedures to ensure quality standards are met and risk is managed.

  • Provide Know-How - Monitor system compliance with applicable laws and regulations, such as GDPR and PDL.

  • Manage Third-Party Relations - Communicate with technical vendors, negotiating agreements and keeping track of upcoming changes.

  • Identify and Drive Your Own Projects - What do you think is important for Mindler to succeed on its mission to provide better mental healthcare?

Our Tech Stack

We use TypeScript and run on AWS. Our patient app is built with React-Native & Expo, tRPC, Storybook, Jest, Detox. Our backend services use Node, Express, tRPC, Vitest, Kysely for PostGres & MySQL, Docker, CDK, and Lambdas. For our front-end clinician interface and backoffice tools, we use React, Vite, Vitest, Playwright, styled-components, tRPC, and react-query.
