Multiplayer Programmer

We are seeking a talented Multiplayer Programmer to join our team at IO Interactive. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our ambitious new IP.

• Enhance our in-house Glacier engine by adding multiplayer capabilities, including network/multiplayer features for the engine and our games.
• Collaborate closely with the AI and gameplay teams to develop network-aware features and ensure smooth workflows and setups.
• Work with the online team to create, manage, and monitor our game servers and backend infrastructure.
• Build and maintain the network layer, ensuring the smooth delivery of multiplayer features.

• Experience as a software, engine, or multiplayer/network programmer, with a track record of contributing to the development of at least one multiplayer game.
• Solid knowledge of C/C++ programming.
• Understanding of key multiplayer technology concepts, including firewall traversal, data compression, encryption, distributed algorithms, latency compensation, and more.
• Comfortable working within large, existing codebases and integrating new technologies.
• Eager to grow your skills and collaborate with more senior programmers.
