About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team at Västerås, Kopparbergsvägen 2. As a Material Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Regional Distribution Center (RDC) and logistics chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tactical Planning: Support profitable growth by ensuring accurate demand and operations planning, optimizing inventory, and perfect fulfillment of customers' orders.
  • Inventory Management: Balance and improve five key metrics: customer on-time delivery, inventory, lead-time, forecast accuracy, and resource optimization.
  • Transactional Purchasing: Manage all tactical and transactional purchasing activities, including purchase order placement, coordination, and update of delivery dates.
  • Inventory Parameters: Calculate and maintain inventory parameters, such as safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time, and replenishment strategies.
  • Inventory Performance: Analyze excess and obsolete/aging inventory, take action to optimize inventory performance, and collaborate with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and procurement and logistics.
  • Inventory Controls: Manage MRP exception messages, support cycle counting and year-end inventory counting, and conduct financial risk assessments.
Requirements
  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Planning & Logistics or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and natural talent for collaboration.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • Broad understanding and knowledge of end-to-end demand and supply chain.
