Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality clinical services to patients and families, as well as a commitment to ongoing professional development and excellence in practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to patients and families
  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in patients and families
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech and language pathology through ongoing professional development
Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent required
  • Member in good standing with CASLPO (College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario) required
  • Membership with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) considered an asset
  • Minimum one year of professional experience required
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask efficiently
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to transport materials (up to 20 lbs.) or push a patient in a wheelchair
  • Ability to sustain intense listening/mental concentration
  • Good visual skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
