At Betsson Group, we are building an industry-leading, scalable, multi-brand platform used by hundreds of thousands of our customers. Our Platform Core team is responsible for managing Infrastructure as Code for parts of our Core Platform Layer (Kubernetes Clusters, Message Broker backends, Infrastructure tooling), providing a distributed runtime platform that ensures optimal performance of our business applications, APIs, and websites.

Main Responsibilities
  • Working with cutting-edge technology to enable our Cloud Journey.
  • Managing Kafka Messaging Platform infrastructure in a geo-distributed setup.
  • Building our Infrastructure Platforms as self-service to our developers and providing guidance and tooling for developers to self-manage their applications cross environments.
  • Continuously improving and developing our platforms based on business needs, analyzing, diagnosing, and solving issues of efficiency, performance, and scale collaborating cross-functionally with colleagues from different teams.

We are looking for a DevOps engineer with strong knowledge and experience in managing Kafka infrastructure, setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters, preferably with experience with AWS EKS and Rancher RKE.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge and experience in setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience working with cloud providers, with AWS as preference, and strong knowledge with Cloud provider services such as EC2, ALBs, VPC, and EKS.
  • Experience in building scalable and distributed infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of best practices in IT operations, such as ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and DevOps principles.
  • Familiarity with open-source monitoring stack of Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
  • Experience in using and managing Linux distributions.
