About the Role

AIG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Risk Engineer to join our Nordic Property organization as part of our EMEA Engineering team. This role will be based in Stockholm and report to our Risk Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct property loss prevention reviews of commercial property accounts to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  2. Document review results in a data-driven application to provide actionable insights to clients and stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with underwriting, brokers, and clients to develop and implement risk management plans.
  4. Analyze and manage risk improvements of an account, working with clients to prioritize and implement them.
  5. Translate client needs and loss prevention strategies into a client service plan to ensure effective risk management.
  6. Estimate the cost of engineering services to provide accurate quotes and proposals.
  7. Conduct quality reviews of completed account reviews and field survey reports to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  8. Conduct property loss prevention surveys at key facilities of clients to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  9. Determine building construction and assess the impact of plastics in construction to identify potential risks.
  10. Analyze water supplies and sprinkler system demands to determine adequacy and identify potential risks.
  11. Identify occupancy hazards and assess the adequacy of their protection features to develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  12. Identify and assess the impact of external exposures on a facility to develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  13. Determine fire and natural catastrophe loss estimates for a facility to provide accurate quotes and proposals.
  14. Conduct consultative visits at customer facilities and plan reviews to provide expert advice and guidance.
Requirements
  1. Few years of property risk engineering experience, preferably in field risk engineering or account engineering.
  2. University degree in engineering, preferably in a relevant field such as civil engineering or mechanical engineering.
  3. Broad knowledge in risk property controls and experience in performing field risk surveys of commercial and light hazard industrial occupancies.
  4. Possess relationship management and strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
  5. Fluent in Swedish and English, with other Nordic language skills such as Finnish or Danish being a plus.
