Job Overview

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Senior (R&D) project manager to join their HVDC team. This role involves working on the development of DC Grids and reporting to the Global Technology Manager in Sweden.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the R&D team to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for technical projects
  • Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Conducting risk analysis and monitoring progress against project milestones and budgets
  • Providing technical guidance to the project team and ensuring adherence to quality standards
  • Analysing and documenting requirements and managing vendor tasks
  • Establishing operational plans for job area and developing new products, processes, standards or operational plans

Qualifications

  • MSc degree in Electric Power Engineering or similar with proven experience in HVDC and high voltage converter stations and substations
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and demonstrate creativity in problem-solving
  • Experience with complex issue solving on HVDC systems
  • Fluency in English required
