About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Classification and Labeling Specialist to join our Security Engineering and Operations team at WSP Sverige AB.

Key Responsibilities
  • Refine data discovery, classification, and labeling requirements to support our machine learning and data analysis initiatives.
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent data classification and labeling.
  • Define and maintain data classification and labeling schema and lifecycle handling policies.
  • Identify gaps in current data management solutions and recommend additional tooling and technologies.
  • Configure and implement data classification and labeling solutions to scan, map, classify, and label WSP's data holdings.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to communicate, operationalize, and sustain data discovery, classification, and labeling capabilities.
Leadership and People Responsibilities
  • Develop positive working relationships with other team members and business partners to align with WSP's internal and external client demands.
  • Provide feedback on the governance process for continued improvement.
Finance/Budgetary Responsibilities
  • Provide feedback on tooling and identify additional needs to support data management initiatives.
  • Plan for the expansion of security tools to cover ongoing needs.
  • Evaluate license usage and potential growth to ensure optimal resource allocation.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in data management or a similar position.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, data sciences, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including experience with machine learning concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with IT Governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 27001.
  • Experience with governance, compliance, and audit within IT environments.
  • Experience in risk management, including risk analysis, mitigation, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of information security regulations applicable to WSP.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, data sciences, or a related field.
  • Microsoft data analyst associate certification, Data+ or equivalent.
