The Concept Artist role at Embark involves working closely with other crafts and teams to create engaging game experiences. The successful candidate will have excellent visual skills, a deep understanding of art and design principles, and strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities
  • Digital painting and concept discovery
  • Development of concepts and blueprints for asset creation and production
  • Compilation of reference images to guide the team
  • Creation of moodboards and collection of reference material
  • Production of paintovers to guide and direct the team
  • Design of marketing and communication assets
  • Creation of visual mockups for various items and needs
  • Participation in game development and provision of feedback
  • Collaboration with external partners to review and work with content
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional concept art experience
  • Experience with character concepts is beneficial
  • Strong visual skills and artistic knowledge
  • Ability to follow directions and deliver high-quality results
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Understanding of game development and technical aspects
  • Great appreciation for visuals in various mediums
  • Ability to estimate tasks and time, update plans, and deliver content
  • Role model, culture carrier, and spokesperson for Embark
