JOB POST – Cook / Kitchen Assistant (20h/week) Afternoon Prep Shift (14:30–18:30) Location: Gatto Nero Pasta – Östra Förstadsgatan 29, Malmö Position: Part-time Cook / Kitchen Assistant (20 hours per week) About the job: We are looking for a reliable and motivated person to join our Italian kitchen for the afternoon prep shift. Your main tasks will include preparing ingredients (vegetables, herbs, sauces), portioning, organizing the kitchen, cooking simple items following our recipes, and helping set up for the next day. You will work closely with our chef and support the overall production of the restaurant. Work schedule: 14:30–18:30, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week) Responsibilities: – Prep work: chopping vegetables, parsley, herbs – Preparing sauces and pasta ingredients – Portioning food for the next day – Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization – Following recipes accurately – Assisting the chef when needed What we’re looking for: – Basic experience in kitchen work (preferred, not required) – High hygiene standards – Ability to work efficiently and independently – Good teamwork and communication – Responsible, punctual, and willing to learn – English required (Swedish is a plus) We offer: – A friendly and small work environment – Stable weekday hours – Opportunities to grow – Staff meals – Salary according to agreement (Nystartsjobb may apply) About us: Gatto Nero Pasta is a growing Italian lunch restaurant in Värnhem offering high-quality pasta dishes, tiramisu, panna cotta, and other Italian specialties.
