Your role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability & Environmental Director to take overall responsibility for sustainability and environmental management within Saab Business Area Surveillance. The role includes line management of a dedicated team and responsibility for setting direction, governance and performance in line with Saab Group Sustainability and Environmental Strategies and the business area's strategic objectives. This is a senior leadership role combining strategic ownership with operational enablement. You will lead the development and execution of sustainability and environmental initiatives, ensuring these considerations are fully integrated into business operations and decision-making processes. Working closely with business operations, support functions and Saab Group Sustainability and Environmental teams, you will drive transformation, establish effective structures and processes, and deliver measurable impact across the full scope of sustainability and environmental performance. As a line manager, you will lead, coach and develop a team of specialists, fostering engagement, clarity and strong delivery. You will define targets, follow up on progress and reporting, and create a clear roadmap to ensure continuous advancement towards our sustainability and environmental ambitions. Acting as an ambassador and thought leader, you will inspire commitment and action at all levels of the organization. Areas of responsibility: * Translate Saab's sustainability strategy, environmental objectives and overall targets into actionable roadmaps, KPIs and plans * Lead, develop and coach a smaller team within sustainability and environmental management, with full line responsibility * Develop and implement sustainability and environmental initiatives across the business area, built on clear demand and leveraging existing structures to address gaps * Ensure that sustainability and environmental aspects are integrated into business operations, decision-making and strategic planning * Ensure effective governance for sustainability and environmental management within BA Surveillance * Ensure effective sustainability and environmental reporting aligned with, and complementing, existing reporting structures * Monitor performance, identify risks and trends, and take early corrective action where needed * Act as an ambassador for sustainability and environmental leadership within BA Surveillance and across Saab structures * Identify opportunities for improvement, digitalization, and ensure implementation and sharing of best practices * Provide training, guidance and support to the organization on sustainability and environmental topics Your profile To succeed in this role, you are highly self-motivated, structured and communicative. You demonstrate strategic perspective and the ability to translate business objectives into concrete sustainability and environmental actions. As a leader, you combine strong business acumen with excellent people skills, enabling you to lead teams, drive change and create engagement across the organization. You are comfortable balancing strategic leadership with operational responsibility and enjoy developing people and building strong teams. Required skills: * Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience * Strong understanding of sustainability and environmental management as strategic and hands on value creating business enablers * Proven leadership experience * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities * Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously * Track record of driving change and continuous improvement Desired skills: * Experience of target setting, KPI management and performance follow-up * Experience of sustainability and environmental reporting * Knowledge of applicable environmental and sustainability-related laws and regulations * Knowledge of Saab's sustainability strategy * Line management experience * Understanding of BA Surveillance's product portfolio and business operations This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection.
