Overview

Head of Search – SEO & SEM

Publicis Groupe is looking for a commercially drivenHead of Search to lead and grow our SEO and SEM departments. If you are a results-oriented leader with a strong background in digital marketing and team management, this could be your next opportunity.

About the Role

As theHead of Search, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our SEO and SEM strategies while driving the performance offering for Publicis Groupe. Reporting to the Head of Performance, you will lead two specialized teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and measurable success.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Creating and implementing holistic search strategies that align with client business objectives and drive measurable results.
2. Leading and managing both SEO and SEM teams, with direct responsibility for team performance and development.
3. Developing and implementing comprehensive search strategies to meet client business goals.
4. Standardizing workflows and quality assurance processes to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery.
5. Driving commercial growth by identifying new opportunities and optimizing existing client engagements.
6. Ensuring cross-team collaboration to create synergies between SEO, SEM, and other digital channels.
7. Managing relationships with key platforms and other technology partners to stay informed of new tools, beta programs, and co-marketing opportunities.
8. Staying ahead of industry trends to keep our search offerings innovative and competitive.

Qualifications

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a proactive and strategic leader with a strong foundation in digital marketing. The ideal candidate will have:

1. At least 5 years experience of working with SEO and/or SEM at an agency.
2. Solid experience in SEO and/or SEM, with a proven track record in team leadership.
3. Proven experience in performance marketing, with a strong understanding of how SEO and SEM contribute to broader performance goals.
4. A strategic and commercial mindset with the ability to align performance marketing efforts to client objectives, drive growth, and achieve measurable business results.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
6. Experience in participating in client pitches, with the ability to articulate complex strategies clearly and persuasively.
7. A comprehensive understanding of the digital marketing landscape and its interdependencies.
8. The ability to take ownership and lead initiatives with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.
9. Proficiency in both Swedish and English.
