Manager Test Equipment Hardware

Your role In this role you will lead and manage a group responsible for development of the equipment needed to test and verify our Avionics products. The group consist of 12 employees with different areas of expertise within the test equipment domain. This role is operational, tactical and strategic in its nature: * Operational - You are expected to support and drive the team to delivery on customer commitments on a daily basis, in a fast paced environment with many moving parts * Tactical - you are expected to work together with your colleagues and internal stakeholder to support the successful delivery of our projects to customer, ensuring that we meet targets and milestones * Strategic - you are responsible, together with your manager and colleagues in the management team, to foster a culture of continuous improvement, define and secure future resource needs and competencies as well as develop employees to excel. You will report to the Head of System Engineering and work closely with the System Engineering management team, where you are supported by your manager and your fellow section managers. This group is on a journey of change and improvement where you will have an opportunity to shape and improve the way we work and deliver. Together with Head of System Engineering you will analyse, design and implement KPIs, metrics and procedural improvements within your group. Your profile We are looking for a person with good leadership skills and the ability to empower and coach your employees. We believe that you are motivated to set directions and work with the long-term goals of the group. You focus on the team effort and you foster an environment of psychological safety; where everyone feels that they have a part to play and that their voice is heard. To succeed in this role, we believe that you have good communication skills on all levels of the organization and ability and experience to successfully drive change management, as well as prior leadership experience. A relevant engineering background is not a requirement but merit. Focus will be on personality and qualifying traits that are applicable for the role. This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection.
