Metrea Simulations (MSIM) redefines the cutting edge of flight simulation and services. Our expertise in physics, engineering, and artistry allows us to leverage modern technologies in new and unprecedented ways to create the most realistic and immersive flight simulation training products and experiences possible. Through our technologies, customers enjoy an optimal path to efficient training, design, technology development, and tactical analysis across the aviation sector.
Position Summary
Metrea Simulations is looking for a Head of Simulation HW to join our team in Stockholm and help us build/manage the hardware side of our operations. MSIM employs a wide range of simulation HW primarily geared towards flight sim (i.e., simulation rigs, MR cockpits, HOTAS, VR/MR headsets, gaming computers, etc.). This individual will manage our HW and ensure we are adequately equipped to handle our development and demo needs.
This entails sourcing and structuring of COTS components for various flight simulation setups, overseeing inventory, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for existing equipment. We strive to push the boundaries of what's possible in simulation, and you will work closely with our artists, programmers, and domain experts (e.g., fighter pilots) in doing so.
From time to time, MSIM arranges demonstrations in various locations across Europe, and this role may entail limited travel to oversee and arrange HW arrangements for such events.
Role and Responsibilities
- Act as the lead for all hardware and operational requirements from customers and business units.
- Work closely with internal software developers to build solutions based on customer requirements.
- Manage existing and source new inventory as required.
- Coordinate transportation/logistics to support demonstrations and engagement events.
- Maintain the reliability and performance of all assets.
- Work with Metrea’s global IT team to support the MISM development team in relation to hardware and software.
Skills and Experience
- A high sense of self-motivation and initiative.
- Competency in installation and support of IT hardware and simulation rigs or gaming equipment.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Enjoys tinkering with HW.
- Service-minded.

Metrea’s single core value, “rooted in humility,” is supported by four key attributes: entrepreneurial, systematic, discerning, and over-deliver. These attributes, combined, form our Teammate Firmware, our culture. We explore these attributes during the hiring process when we grow our teams and continually support the growth of our culture.
