Your role

Business Area Aeronautics has a decentralised Procurement organisation within four Business Units each responsible for profit and loss.

Business Unit Gripen is in a challenging, but exciting journey in order to meet our customer expectations and deliver on our orders and targets whilst also pursuing new sales campaigns. As Head of Airframe Sourcing you will be responsible for ensuring a long-term sourcing strategy and secure sourcing performance aligned with Gripen Business Unit requirements.

You will lead a team of ~12 people with full responsibility for effective strategic sourcing to support ongoing Gripen programs and sales campaigns and contribute to the achievement of the outcomes expected of the sourcing team.

Your main responsibilities are:

* Secure sourcing strategy within your product scope supporting program, production and future business strategy
* Secure sourcing performance in supply chain to fighter production
* Establish and maintain well-developed supplier relationships with key suppliers
* Drive cost initiatives to optimize cost
* Securing business compliance towards internal and external business requirements
* Provide exemplary leadership by creating engagement where employees can achieve high levels of performance

You will be a member of the leadership team within Sourcing and report to Head of Sourcing, Business Unit Gripen.

Your profile

We are looking for a person with strong business understanding with passion for continuous improvements, efficiency and simplification whilst ensuring and strengthening sourcing performance and business culture. As a member of sourcing leadership team, you are expected to contribute to the success of sourcing organisation and expected to collaborate cross borders and work with colleagues and stakeholders within SAAB to establish and maintain good relations.

Required skills

* An academic degree in relevant field related to the position
* Previous leadership experience, preferable as manager with a holistic mindset
* Ability to create high performance teams through an inspiring and coaching leadership
* High ability to build internal and external relationships
* Previous successful negotiation experiences
* Broad understanding for both sourcing and supply
* High ability to drive continuous improvement

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
