We are looking for a full-time Staff Machine Learning Engineer based in Stockholm to lead the AI team in Motherbrain. In this role you’ll join our Platform team, engaging with modern technologies and highly skilled colleagues.

Our mission is to empower professionals with actionable insights while providing engineers with the tools and infrastructure to create and deploy AI-powered solutions efficiently.

Key responsibilities

As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer in the AI platform team, you will bridge between Machine Learning/AI research and operations, ensuring that AI-powered solutions are not only accurate during development but also robust and scalable in real-world production scenarios.

Together with your team, you will design, implement, deploy, and manage AI-powered solutions delivering on organizational goals and industry standards, evolving and maintaining the Motherbrain AI platform.

The Motherbrain AI platform is designed to integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into business workflows, automating tasks such as summarization, data extraction, and analysis of internal & external data. The platform features a reliable architecture enabling the development of scalable AI workflows with a focus on usability, traceability and support for domain-specific applications.

You will be working together with Data Scientists, Fullstack Engineers, Backend Engineers, Data Engineers, UI and UX Designers, and Business Stakeholders to take the Motherbrain platform to the next level and leverage AI as a core part of EQT’s strategy to maximize its competitive advantage.

About you

You are a technical leader that believes in the power of teamwork. Your technical expertise and ability to solve complex challenges make you a driving force in engineering excellence.

- Technical Leadership and teamwork in product-oriented organizations: Experience in teams working with disruptive technologies with high level of interaction and collaboration, evolving and maintaining the technical product roadmap according to the business needs.
- AI/ML Systems Architecture: envision, operationalize, build, and deploy end-to-end ML and AI pipelines at scale.
- Efficient Text Data Processing: Designing and optimizing systems for processing large volumes of textual data efficiently.
- ML Workflows and Pipelines Orchestration: Building and maintaining MLOps pipelines, including CI/CD for machine learning workflows.
- AI Cloud Infrastructure: Working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for ML infrastructure.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience with LangChain and LangSmith for building and managing AI workflows.
- Understanding of FastAPI, TypeScript, GraphQL, and other tools used for backend and frontend integration.
- Experience with database technologies and data transformation pipelines (e.g. dbt, BigQuery, ElasticSearch, Redis, PostgreSQL, … ).
- Expertise in developing and deploying scalable, distributed systems for AI solutions.
- Practical experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Strong background in NLP techniques and tools, particularly for summarization, data extraction, and large-scale textual analysis.
- Solid understanding of security and privacy best practices when working with sensitive or proprietary data in machine learning workflows.
