There are many options within our county where you can choose to work, from highly specialized dental care in Umeå to public dental care in smaller rural communities. The public dental health of Sweden has been responsible for our citizens' dental health for almost 100 years – an important task we carry out with pride. Our aim is to improve the overall dental health of people who are living in Sweden.

As a dental care worker in the Public Dental Service in Västerbotten, you have a close cooperation with coworkers where we exchange knowledge and experience with each other as well as working together towards the same goal – increased dental health for the citizens of Västerbotten. Our organization has approx. 550 employees, of which 150 are dentists, but we want more colleagues You will be part of a local network of foreign-trained staff. The network provides support from both employers and other foreign-trained dentists to practice at our simulation clinic in Umeå.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER

As a dentist, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe and that our patients are given good conditions for good oral health. We offer a variety of work with patients of all ages, including dental care for children, adults, and the elderly, revision dentistry, and emergency dentistry. Responsibilities include:

1. Diagnosing and predicting health, investigating diseases/changes in the oral cavity and pharynx, treating or referring patients.
2. Providing advice, information, and general health education.
3. Performing administrative work such as record keeping, referral management, and contacts with the insurance fund and other authorities.

KVALIFIKATIONER

Work qualifications: European dentist education and proficient English skills.

Personal qualifications:

1. Flexibility: The ability to adapt to unplanned changes during the workday.
2. Cooperative: You meet colleagues and patients in a professional and attentive way. You cooperate well with other professions and solve tasks efficiently.
3. Focus on quality: You have an eye for detail and strive to deliver high-quality care for your patients. You can identify faults in routines and processes and work towards improving them.
4. Communication: You can receive and give information clearly, to patients as well as your colleagues.
