Our team is responsible for the design, setup, operations, and continuous development of a large-scale compute and storage environment for Deep Learning and Machine Learning. This infrastructure supports the development of Zenseact's autonomous driving technology.
In the team, we prioritise sharing knowledge and learning from one another every day. We aim to make data-informed decisions while remaining pragmatic, accepting that today’s best decision may be improved tomorrow. By addressing both operational issues and long-term design goals, we continuously refine the system architecture for Deep Learning based on user feedback. As a central hub for software and data flow, we work closely with numerous groups, users, and stakeholders daily.
Your mission and day-to-day tasks
You will collaborate in an agile team with IT colleagues in Sweden and interact with external partners. Your decisions will influence the outcomes, and you will be trusted and empowered to solve problems to deliver the IT services and solutions the business needs. You’ll work to standardize and automate processes, ensuring a Deep Learning Infrastructure environment that is easy to monitor and maintain.
Your tasks will include:
- Collaborating with Deep Learning and Machine Learning developers to improve methods, workflows, application optimisation, and automation, enhancing user experience and efficiency.
- Acting as a Subject Matter Expert in internal and external IT projects for Deep Learning and Machine Learning.
- Partnering with external service providers to implement standards, troubleshoot advanced issues, and review/sign off Root Cause Analysis reports.

Qualifications & experience
You are motivated to learn and grow, with experience administering Deep Learning and Machine Learning Infrastructure in enterprise environments using modern DevOps tools. You are skilled at collaborating with customers, suppliers, and colleagues to reach shared goals.
To excel in this role, we value:
- 3+ years of experience providing solutions for large IT environments, especially those focused on Deep Learning and Machine Learning.
- Advanced Linux experience, such as working as a system engineer.
- A broad understanding of system-level solutions, with proficiency in the technical implementation of large-scale data centers, including storage, backup, and compute.
- Solid experience in enabling and optimising infrastructure platforms to meet diverse needs (e.g., fast, flexible, cost-efficient systems).
- The ability to gather and translate requirements into actionable solutions for Deep Learning and Machine Learning environments.
Ideal, but not a must have:
- Experience with large-scale data processing, including networks, servers, clients, and storage.
- Familiarity with tools and technologies such as:
- Hierarchical and parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre, GPFS).
- Batch systems (e.g., PBS, SLURM, SGE).
- Identity management systems (e.g., Active Directory, SAML, OAuth).
