About the position Perido is looking for a Strategic Buyer on behalf of one of our clients within the electric car industry. You will become part of a small, highly collaborative purchasing team working closely with the business. The role covers a broad vehicle operations category, including logistics, compounds, repairs, inspections, roadside assistance, and related services. Other categories may also be included depending on business needs. The position is based in Gothenburg. Your daily tasks - As a Strategic Buyer, you will work both strategically and operationally in close collaboration with business stakeholders. Your responsibilities include: - Taking responsibility for a broad and varied portfolio within vehicle operations (logistics, repairs, inspections, roadside assistance, etc.) - Working very hands-on with both tactical and operational purchasing tasks, beyond normal strategic scope when needed - Proactively communicating with stakeholders and analyzing spend data to identify business needs and sourcing opportunities - Leading sourcing projects and contract negotiations to achieve cost reduction targets - Anchoring commercial decisions with relevant stakeholders (business, legal, finance, etc.) - Governing and following up on contracts and suppliers, monitoring performance and mitigating risks - Ensuring purchasing involvement and compliance with policies, directives, and processes - Preparing and presenting decision material to senior management and securing proper documentation - Reviewing incoming purchase requests for quality, structure, and compliance Your characteristics You are a highly result-oriented and business-driven individual who thrives on creating impact through strong commercial decisions. We look forward to reading your application Qualifications: - Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar procurement or strategic buying role - Industry expertise and strong supplier market knowledge within relevant categories - Extensive contract review and negotiation experience (legal training required) - Advanced negotiation skills - Proven experience in project management and presentation to senior management - Very strong collaboration and communication skills - Advanced user of PowerPoint and Excel - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Meritorious: - Experience working in SAP Fiori for procurement - Background from complex service-based or technical purchasing categories Contract type and hours Full-time, consulting assignment until 2026-07-10 with the possibility of extension.
