The role as Sustainability Manager

As our Sustainability Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our sustainability initiatives. This means leading the charge on CSRD reporting, collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to identify and prioritize sustainability goals and initiatives, and ensuring our processes align with our ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System (EMS). You'll be responsible for creating and managing sustainability initiatives, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, and fostering a culture of sustainability throughout the company. You'll be the go-to person for both strategic sustainability initiatives and operational execution, ensuring progress towards our targets. You'll also be responsible for steering and refining the sustainability strategy while serving as a strategic advisor and a supporting resource across the organization.

In this position, you will also:

- Contribute to the development and review of our Environmental Management System, ensuring its ongoing effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits, pinpointing areas for improvement and recommending practical solutions.
- Design and implement programs to minimize our environmental impact, focusing on areas like energy efficiency, and waste management.
- Track and report on our sustainability performance, creating sustainability reports, and communicating our progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide sustainability support during RFP (Request for Proposal) processes for both existing and prospective clients.

This is a temporary position starting in May 2025 and running until the end of May 2026. For this role, both those interested in employment and those looking for a consultancy assignment are welcome to apply.

Who we are looking for

We’re looking for a driven sustainability professional with:

- At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven track record in leading sustainability reporting efforts.
- Hands-on experience initiating CSRD work.
- Structured approach to sustainability, ideally within a certified company or one using environmental management systems.
- Strong understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks and standards.
- Knowledge of Scope 2 and 3 emissions accounting (Scope 1 is not applicable at Benify; practical experience in Scope 1, 2, and 3 accounting is not required).
- Excellent written and verbal Swedish and English communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of systematic environmental management following the ISO 14001 standard, with practical experience driving and developing environmental management systems.

Bonus points if you have:

- A background in sustainability studies.
- Experience in setting and driving progress towards Science Based Targets.

Practical information

Location: Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Malmö.

Extent: Full-time, 100%. Temporary position starting in May 2026 and running until the end of May 2026.

Work model: Hybrid, minimum 3 days/week from the office.
