About the position
As Field Service Technician at local 1st line support Nordics you are the contact for customers when they need support, training, preventive maintenance, repair and installation. The Field Service Technician also makes sure the customer can make best possible use of the installed equipment. Work include travel up to 140 days per year, mostly in Sweden but neighboring countries also are visited. At times also distant travels are needed. Even though travel alone is common many jobs are done in a team. Complicated tasks are solved with help from colleagues and 2:line support. Serviced equipment range from Jet printers, SPI, P&P, AOI, SMD towers and all connecting SW.
Main responsibilities:
- Installation of new equipment
- Preventive maintenance
- Emergency repair on site
- Inhouse repair of equipment
- Refurbishment of used machines
- Telephone and e-mail support at the office
- Customer training
- Application support
- Sales support
Qualifications
- Swedish gymnasium with technical degree or similar
- Earlier work in the service sector is meritorious
- Driving license, B category
- Swedish and English spoken and written
It is considered advantageous if you have...
- Customer centric approach with the will to help our customers to success
- Experience from hands on work with electrical and mechanical systems.
- Be capable of setting up and configuring software and PCs hardware within a factory network environment.
- Have a solid understanding of TCP/IP and network communication principles. Possess a basic understanding of databases and feel confident in installing, maintaining, and upgrading both Linux and Windows-based applications and hardware. Additionally, be comfortable assisting customers remotely with troubleshooting, installations, and system configurations.
- Self-propelled and used to solve problems in a systematic way
- Technical interest with a drive to constantly learn about new products and technology
