About the position

Perido is looking for a skilled and proactive Application Analyst on behalf of our client, a major bank with a vision to realize dreams and help its customers achieve their goals. The bank serves over 10 million customers and has offices across Northern Europe. The role of Application Analyst is critical for ensuring business-critical applications' smooth functioning, enhancement, and optimization. This position is based in central Stockholm with the possibility of working 2 days a week remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

- Application Management: Oversee the day-to-day performance, functionality, and maintenance of applications to ensure seamless operation.
- SQL Development: Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support data processing and application functionality.
- Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis to extract actionable insights, support decision-making, and resolve application-related issues.
- System Modeling: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine application models, ensuring alignment with business needs and goals.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve application issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and business analysts, to ensure applications meet organizational objectives.
- Proactive Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for improving application performance, scalability, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, particularly in SQL and data analysis, combined with problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications:

- SQL Expertise: Proven experience with SQL, including stored procedures, query optimization, and database management.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in roles involving application analysis, data analysis, or similar functions.
- Data Analysis and Modeling: Strong analytical skills, with experience in data modeling being a significant advantage.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated capability to analyze complex setups, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Proactive Attitude: A self-starter with the eagerness to tackle challenges and improve existing processes.

Meritorious:

- Experience with additional database technologies or tools (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools
- Knowledge of application lifecycle management and best practices
- Background in collaborating with agile teams or experience in a DevOps environment

Contract type and hours

Full-time consulting assignment for 6 months. Start asap.
