Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

- Individual contributor that works under limited supervision.

- Applies subject matter knowledge and requires capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge.

- Responsible for providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, and for managing return-to-work programs for ill or injured employees.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supports the maintenance and analysis of records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern.

- Supports the education and training of the organization’s workforce on health and safety policies and standards.

- Supports the selection, training, and evaluation of workplace safety officers to ensure they understand and can perform the responsibilities of their role.

- Provides first aid supplies and resources are available in accordance with regulations and the organization’s health and safety policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

- High School Diploma / GED

Experience/Background

- Minimum 2 years
