AMARIS Sweden have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Vision Engineer specialized in the field of Automation in the city ofSkellefteå .

You will collaborate with a cross-functional group of experts from automation, control, materials flow, factory design, software engineering, and machine learning to design and implement software systems enabling highly automated production processes. Your role involves collecting comprehensive data from manufacturing and battery systems and developing innovative applications to optimize processes and products.

We are seeking professionals with experience in Machine Vision, encompassing both software and hardware aspects: calibration, cameras, lenses, lighting, MSA, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement machine vision systems to enhance quality control and automate inspection processes.
  • Optimize inspection processes through algorithm development to improve defect detection and reduce false positives.
  • Collaborate with automation engineers to integrate vision systems with existing production machinery.
  • Implement solutions for product traceability using barcode reading and optical character recognition (OCR).
  • Deploy machine vision algorithms for real-time quality assurance and control during production.
  • Analyze data from vision systems to gain insights into production processes and product quality.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of vision systems.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on the use and maintenance of vision systems.
  • Stay updated on advancements in machine vision technology and conduct research for further improvements.
  • Manage machine vision projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.

Profile Requirement

  • Degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and their application in manufacturing process development.
  • Expertise with common vision and measurement systems such as Cognex , Keyence, Teledyne, Dalsa, Basler, LMI Technology, etc.
  • Practical knowledge of cameras , lenses , optics, lighting, and other image capture and processing elements.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python . Experience with real-time systems and generic programming is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols like EtherCAT, Profinet, TCP/IP, and I/O.
  • Experience in document preparation and presentation, including trial reports, action plans, and project presentations.
