About the Role

As a Senior ITSystem Administrator you report to the IT Operations Manager. Your responsibilities will include design, administration, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud IT Infrastructure and IT services, Linux servers and Kubernetes clusters.

In your role, you will be working closely with your IT Operations colleagues, as well as application developers, customer support and QA/Automation/Deployment. You will take part in second line customer support.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with customer support and customers to troubleshoot and identify issues
• Setup and maintain both local infrastructure and public cloud services
• Assist in designing infrastructure for cloud/orchestrating services
• Discuss architecture and establish best practices with the entire organization
• Provide senior level expertise in your responsibility areas

Required skills and experiences

A minimum of six years of system administration experience including most of the areas below:

• Linux/Unix system administration
• Configuring and maintaining Kubernetes/container environments
• Automated configuration management, such as Terraform or Bicep
• Configuring and maintaining monitoring/logging systems
• Basic understanding of networking and firewalls
• Basic understanding of database administration
• Experience with a major cloud provider
• Scripting, preferably using bash or python
• Troubleshooting issues in above areas
• Fluent communication in English and an interest in technical discussions and knowledge sharing
• Self-motivated and ambitious
• Service-minded

Skills and experiences that are good to have

• An interest in storage, backup and related technologies, both on-premises and in cloud
• Experience with common cloud deployment technologies, such as Helm or ArgoCD
• Experience with patch management
• Experience with Identity and Access Management
• Experience with IT best practices and ways of working within IT operations, IT security and disaster management
• Good understanding of network technologies
