NorthX Biologics is looking to recruit a Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Engineer to the company. The full-time position is based in our Matfors facility, and we are searching for a new colleague to join a dedicated and highly competent team within the QC department. NorthX Biologics is a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that offer services and support in the development and manufacturing of biologics used in vaccines, gene/cell therapy and other advanced applications. We have a long tradition of pharmaceutical manufacturing and have been manufacturing GMP biologics since 1992. In 2021 we were recognized as a national innovation hub for advanced therapeutics and vaccines and have expanded our development capabilities to serve our clients. This includes a new development organization with cutting edge laboratories and technologies. As a QC laboratory engineer, you will plan, execute, analyze, and report quality control laboratory work within GMP, as well as perform method development and document writing. You will also be involved in method validation and instrument qualification and collaborate with other departments to ensure that products meet customer requirements and GMP compliance. For this position, we would particularly like to see a candidate with hands-on analytical HPLC experience, especially within biologics. Responsibilities The QC department at NorthX Biologics works to ensure the highest quality standards for all products, processes, and services provided by the company. As a QC laboratory engineer, your main responsibilities include:
- Performing routine analytics.
- Performing method validation.
- Participating in instrument qualifications.
- Performing method development.
- Representing QC internally, and externally, in various projects.
- Writing, implementing, and updating documentation.
- Performing deviation investigations.
- Maintaining the qualified status of instruments.
- Minimum a BSc in Biology, Chemistry, or relevant field.
- Experience of working in a laboratory environment (e.g. analytical, microbiology or QC lab).
- Experience in analytical laboratory methods, especially HPLC.
- Knowledge and experience with quality systems and GMP is preferred.
- Experience of analysis of biological drugs (e.g. protein, DNA/mRNA, cellterapi) is a plus.
- Experience in molecular methods such as SDS-Page, qPCR, Western Blot is meritorious.
- Fluent in English, a minimum of basic Swedish is preferred.
