AirForestry is on the lookout for a humble doer when it comes to IT-related matters. This role has grand possibilities depending on the candidate. For example, alongside the big responsibility over our IT environment, you will get the chance to develop your interest in programming or get the chance to work hands on with our drones - the sky is the limit
About this role:
As an IT Technician you will be responsible for AirForestry’s IT Environment, including everything from ordering and installing computers and other hardware to troubleshooting and ensuring we have a continuous and stable IT Environment. You work proactively with our different IT Systems and enjoys being a natural go-to person in the organization.
Further, depending on your previous experience and interest, this role offers you the opportunity to expand your knowledge in programming by working together with our different software developers. Does your interest lie in mechanics, you will get the chance to work hands on with our drones and being part of ensuring everything runs smoothly at our field station.
Experience:
- A couple of years working with IT Administration, such as computer and network management and other office equipment.
- Adeptness in state-of-the-art technologies and IT Security practices.
Nice to have:
- A degree in IT-related field.
- Previous experience or keen interest in programming, preferably in Python or C.
- A solid understanding of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading.
- Familiarity with other programming languages, databases, or development tools.
Languages:
- Fluent in Swedish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working in a start-up environment, you will play a crucial role for the IT Environment. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Your tasks might vary from day to day, ranging from troubleshooting a computer, writing code or deploying the final product in a field setting. We are based in Uppsala and we spend at least 3-4 days per week at the office
