Northvolt is looking looking for a driven Senior Lean Manufacturing Engineer with different levels of experience to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is part of our Production Excellence Team based in Västerås, Sweden. By joining us you will have a key role in building and implementing Northvolt Excellence System.

About the Job
You will work hand in hand with our operational teams on driving improvement projects, training and coaching the organisation on problem solving, and creating value by finding and removing waste. You will have opportunities to work with everything from detailed improvements in production, quality and various other operational topics to designing and implementing processes and system improvements. Further, you will contribute to writing our book on excellence and training the organisation in our ways of working.

Key responsibilities:

- Executing VSM according to safety, quality, delivery, cost KPIs and highlighting bottlenecks to organization,
- Data collection (OEE, CT, WIP..) and efficiency analysis, doing regular reporting of capacity
- Performing time studies to develop labor utilization standards.
- Upskilling of shop floor staff and engineers with creation of training material for general Lean practices
-Developing and executing Value Stream Mapping, Standardized Work, Daily shopfloor management,5S,SMED,Kaizen system etc.
- Being the voice of Labs for KPI discussions
- Setting customer project targets on KPI trends and following the performance during serial production by participating the meetings
- Lead line side improvement projects relating to production systems, operational efficiency and OEE losses.
- Creating special training concepts and executing the trainings to manager levels
- Collaboration between different NV sites

Requirements:

Educational background and previous experience required for the role.

  • A Bachelor degree of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, Production or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Min. 5 years experience in production engineering or industrial engineering
  • Automative industry experience is a big plus
  • Proven experience especially in VSM, 5S, Standard work, OEE, Workload model, Kaizen studies, etc.
  • Strong ability and a proof to understand and manage OEE improvement work
  • Good presentation skills based on data
  • Six sigma belt education is required
