Rust Developer

We are currently looking for a skilled Rust Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Rust Developer at Grepit AB, you will play a key role in creating cutting-edge solutions and ensuring the high performance and responsiveness of our software applications.

Responsibilities:

• Rust Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Rust code for server-side logic in our software applications.
• Code Documentation: Document and review code to uphold software quality standards, ensuring clarity and maintainability.
• Maintenance: Maintain and repair Rust code in existing software and apps, ensuring ongoing functionality and performance.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with Rust standards and advancements in application development, incorporating the latest best practices into our projects.
• Collaboration: Interact with front-end developers, supporting them with the integration of front-end elements and fostering a cohesive development environment.
• Consultation: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine the scope of software development projects, providing valuable insights and expertise.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience coding, developing, and testing software programs using the Rust programming language, with a strong focus on server-side logic.
• Version Control: Experience with iterative development using Git as a version control tool, ensuring seamless collaboration within the team.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (both written and spoken), enabling effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other Hardware and Software engineers, contributing to code review processes and sharing innovative ideas.
• Reporting: Capability to report status updates, time estimations, and planning details to the project coordinator and customers, ensuring transparency and project alignment.

Preferred Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field. Alternatively, equivalent knowledge gained through substantial work experience in software development.
• Additional Language Skills: Experience working with other software embedded languages such as C, expanding your versatility in software development.
• Software Development Life Cycle: In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle, ensuring comprehensive understanding of project requirements and processes.
• Optimization Skills: Excellent debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our software applications.
• Additional Programming Languages: Good knowledge of other programming languages like .NET and Javascript/HTML using the AngularJS framework, broadening your skill set and contributing to diverse projects.
