Project scope

Scenario-based development and verification is the key approach for ADAS function of vehicles. The project is to create a scenario pool of simulation scenarios using OpenScenario format and to visualize the scenarios with opensource tools like es-mini. The project will help us (and you) get familiar with traffic scenarios description languages, scenario abstraction layers, traffic scenario catalogue, and the challenge of parameterize the scenarios. The scope of the work is including:

  1. Getting familiar with OpenScenario format and the tools associated OpenScenario.
  2. Creating traffic scenarios based on the given scenario categorize.
  3. Test the traffic scenarios with CARLA or IPG CarMaker.

Qualifications

  • Good reading and writing skills in English, knowing Chinese is a merit.
  • Have basic knowledge about ADAS/AD functions, and how it works.
  • Basic knowledge on ADAS/AD function verification.
  • Knowing PEGASUS verification framework and OpenSCENARIO is a merit.
  • Familiar with Python.
  • Knowing simulation tools like CARLA or similar is a merit.
