The Tours Digital Solutions team within EF Tours is the group of engineering and creative professionals empowering EF to send groups of students and educators on guided educational tours across the world. We power every step of our customer’s journey – from showcasing our tour offerings, to creating personalized itineraries, and collecting their feedback after the tour.

About the role
You will work across all of EF’s Tours products, helping to provide educational travel opportunities around the world for students and adults alike. The role is embedded in the ‘Darwin’ domain, which addresses the collaboration need between brands, functions, and business processes. It is the orchestration layer for how work gets done between, and sometimes within the brands/functions/domains.

What you’ll do

As the Salesforce developer you will:
  • Work closely with your team and business stakeholders to design and deliver high-value, performant, and innovative software solutions for complex business problems.
  • Developing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform and collaborating on our backend services and APIs.
  • Designing, coding, documenting and implementing Salesforce applications.
  • Testing the stability and functionality of the application, troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
  • Maintaining the security and integrity of the application software.
  • Working with 3rd party vendors and external APIs.
  • Focus the organization’s use of data towards what best serves the mission.
  • Striving towards coding best practices and data quality.
Who you are
  • Salesforce.com certified Platform Developer I, additional Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Developer certifications valued.
  • Competency in HTML, XML, SQL, Java, REST and SOAP-based web services.
  • Experience in SFDX and CI/CD.
  • You are a lifelong learner with a desire to explore new technologies and venture outside your technical comfort zone, while possessing the pragmatism to find the optimal solution for the problem at hand.
  • You are a strong team player with great communication skills to articulate high-level concepts and engage a cross-functional audience.
  • You are empathetic and keen to understand other disciplines in and around the product, with the ability to translate between these functions and technology.

Please note: we're trying to build a great company culture and a cohesive office, which means that this is an in-office opportunity. There will be travel opportunities to other offices - Boston, Zurich etc. but when in Budapest this is a 5-days in the office role.
