Your role as our Data Engineer

We are currently hiring a Data Engineer for the team working with one of our three core products. As a Data Engineer at Nepa you will combine many different technical skills as part of larger deliverables, developing the software foundation needed for complex, large scale, insight analytics. The primary area you will focus on is creating continuous pipelines for data flows and expand the technical foundation of our continuous marketing mix modelling product.

You will be part of our tech department, consisting of some of the friendliest developers, data scientists and data engineers you can find, where you will have great possibility to grow and nurture your skills while having a healthy work-life balance.

Your profile as our Data Engineer

You are a highly adaptable and open-minded team player, equipped with an analytical mindset and several years of practical experience. Your problem-solving approach is complemented by a continuous commitment to establishing robust data flows for large-scale product support. Ideally, you hold a degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, and possess the versatility to pick and mix from tools and skills including programming (preferably in Python), database management (in SQL and/or BigQuery), and data pipeline creation/maintenance and optimization (including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes). Proficiency in using and managing APIs, as well as familiarity with CI/CD, is expected. We also believe you have solid experience with cloud computing (preferably GCP). Hands-on experience with pipeline tools like Apache Airflow, Luigi, Kubeflow, or similar will be a significant advantage.

We place a strong emphasis on your personal qualities. To excel in this role, you need to be cooperative, unpretentious, and have a strong desire to learn. We mainly work in small, empowered teams of two to five developers with strong focus on collaboration. Some teams use software teaming daily.

Lastly, we believe you live in Sweden, because even though we work remote-first, it is nice to be able to meet occasionally at our office.
