With a background in cell culturebased research and matrix biology biotech firm BioLamina is expanding. To meet the demands of both production and our customers we are looking for a Procurement Specialist to collaborate closely with Supply Chain Management Production Logistics and Sales. Experience in purchasing and logistics from a production setting is required for this position; ideally it comes from the biotech or pharmaceutical industries. In this function production plans are translated into tactical and operational collaborations with our suppliers.

The Role & Responsibilities

The Procurement Specialist will work with a dynamic team managing strategic sourcing operational purchasing sales planning order management customer support and distribution. The supply chain team and BioLamina are currently in a development phase with a strong emphasis on meeting our KPIs and objectives and streamlining our supply chain.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sourcing and category strategies in liaison with crossfunctional teams to understand procurement requirements.
  • Prepare proposals and negotiate purchase terms and skillfully negotiate agreements to secure the best terms and conditions.
  • Drive supplier evaluations development performance score card negotiations etc.
  • Manage procurement and the inbound flow of supplies and equipment for the manufacturing process in accordance with handling procedures administrative practices and quality standards.
  • Develop routines and processes for procurement and the inbound flow of materials.
  • Provide secure and innovative system support to meet material control and quality needs.
  • Maintain master data by making sure the ERP system is appropriately updated with contract pricing lists article data and supplier data among other things.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • A degree in the appropriate field or a minimum of five years of work experience.
  • Production background from the pharmaceutical or biotech industries with a minimum of two years work experience.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and documentation ideally with SAP Business One or a comparable system.
  • Skills in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Ability to write and speak English well Swedish is a merit.
